Thank you so much for the kind words! It's always useful to hear both the good and the bad with new content, and either adjust from there, or keep it in mind for further content creation. Eventually they changed it so that if you rested, you received "double" xp (which was really the xp not cut in half) People loved it.Īgain, thank you for your wonderful work, this is truly the best incremental game I've played so far. World of Warcraft used to cut people's experience in half after playing for a long time. They just hate to feel like they're losing something, even if they know they aren't. But at the end of the day, its about people's emotions. You of course explain what its about, and the math works as well. You've probably seen people complain they don't like that it increases the time they have to eat. Its making new choices and route alterations that is fun, not rehashing the old.įinally, some feedback on the fang funnel. I don't want to have to go back to old funnel farming in chapter x teen. Its was fun at first, but its already starting to get tiring. With this in mind, I would put a hard cap on the funnels as well. That's the point it should be able to be automated. I'm not figuring out anything new, I'm just going through the motions. I one shot both the inquire task, and the follow poachers task, but I still need to baby sit the seals every time. I like the management and decision aspect of the game. What once was fun started to feel like a chore.įirst, I really like seals as a mechanic. The problem is, I didn't stop needing to measure out bull meat in that fight until I was in chapter 9. As I slowly got better at hunting and fighting, i was able to whittle down how much bull meat I used in the fight. You wanted to use as little bull meat as you could to save it for the other chapters. Needing to manage bull meat for far too long in the fight at chapter 7.Īt first, it was fun. I'll give a few examples that I felt hurt that strength.ġ. I think being able to change your automation paths is a strength of the game. I feel automation after making certain choices several times is a strength of the game. There is I think one overall issue that continued to crop up on these later chapters however that I felt could use some attention, or lessons learned for the next batch of content.Įssentially, it boils down to the fact that in certain circumstances, it felt too long to get to the point where you could automate the feature. You could have continued to keep the game the same, and I'm sure you would have had few complaints. I think some people had a learning curve, but that's to be expected in a game that is trying new ways of approaching the situation. First, what a wonderful game! Incredibly clever, and the math and work to make this as balanced and fun as it is, is phenomenal.įirst, I really enjoyed the island choices, as well as deciding when to funnel, and food management.
